The People
The MSS Real Estate team consists of extremely talented individuals, coming from a diversified background. The team has broad experience in property fund management, derivatives trading and structuring, finance and research and strategy.
Mark Ellis Chief Executive Officer
Mark is responsible for overseeing the business strategies within MSS Real Estate. He was formerly head of derivatives marketing for Abbey National Treasury Services plc between 1998 and 2001. Prior to this he was Managing Director responsible for the marketing of structured products to UK clients at UBS. His recent experience includes structuring a range of funds for retail and institutional investment. Mark Ellis graduated from Cambridge University with an MSc in Chemical Engineering in 1985.
Sath Sabendran Chief Operations Officer
Sath joined MSS Real Estate in April 2006 and is responsible for all operational, finance and tax issues. Prior to joining MSS, Sath Sabendran worked as a Fund Accountant and Funds Treasurer across several Pan European property funds for Curzon Global Partners/IXIS AEW Europe from 2004 to 2006. Sath graduated from the University of Southampton in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA)
Paul de Cintra Head of Real Estate Finance
Paul is responsible for the partnership's real estate backed debt related activities. Before joining MSS Real Estate Paul worked with Dr Frank Brown at Oxford Property Systems Ltd to develop a comprehensive framework for analysing the risks involved in purchasing commercial real estate backed debt. Prior to that, Paul was at Experian PLC latterly as MD of their real estate decisioning function. Paul holds a BA (Hons) degree from Durham University in Economics and an MSc from City of London (Guildhall) University in Econometrics, time series analysis and forecasting.
Sevi Rixson Head of Investments
Sevi joined MSS Real Estate from UBS Global Asset Management and is responsible for all investment allocation, investment management for the direct and indirect real estate funds. Whilst working at UBS, he was an investment/asset manager on the UBS SERF and UBS Triton Funds. Previously, Sevi worked at King Sturge as an asset manager/Fund co-ordinator on a close-ended, regional french property fund. Sevi is a qualified chartered surveyor. Sevi graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA in Geography in 2002 and subsequently attained a distinction in his Masters of Estate Management at South Bank University.
James Wells Head of Research
James joined MSS Real Estate in October 2009 and is responsible for analysing fund performance, researching real estate investment strategies and assisting with investment management. He graduated from London South Bank University with a distinction in Estate Management MSc and is currently working towards completing his APC and IMC. He also has a 2:1 BA (hons) degree in Economics with Hispanic studies obtained from Nottingham University.

Andrew Boyce
Andrew is a partner of leading Channel Islands law firm Carey Olsen. On admission as an Attorney at Law of the Supreme Court of Trinidad and Tobago in 1995, Andrew took tenancy in chambers before moving to a well established local firm of attorneys. In 1997, he moved to the British Vergin Islands to join Farrara George-Creque & Kerins and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. He Then spent two years with KPMG (BVI) as in-house counsel for the firm's trust companies. Andrew joined the firm in 2000 and was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2002. He was called to the Guernsey Bar in 2004 and made a partner in the firm in 2005. Andrew has specialist experience in the structuring and establishment of open and closed ended investment funds and structured finance products. He also advises on structured loan financing, investment placements and banking transactions.
Stuart Lawson
Stuart is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants. He joined Northern Trust in 1988 working in Fund Administration and Trust client accounting before being appointed Head of Finance for the office in 1996 where he established a Risk Management Department. In 2005 he was appointed Chief Administration Officer for Guernsey with local responsibility for finance, risk, compliance, corporate services and communication. He is currently head of Real Estate and Infrastructure Fund Administration service at Northern Trust based in Guernsey had 25 years experience in the Financial Services Industry.
